About Regan Deering

Fighter. Mom. Educator. Conservative.

Regan Deering is a proud conservative Republican and the State Representative for Illinois’ 88th District. A former educator, small businesswoman, and mom of three, Regan stepped up to run for office because she saw Illinois being driven off a cliff by out-of-touch politicians, and she refused to sit on the sidelines.

Since taking office, Regan has earned a reputation as one of the most energetic and effective conservative voices in Springfield. She’s stood up to the Pritzker machine, fought against extreme progressive overreach, and worked every day to protect families, restore local control, and build a stronger Central Illinois.

In her first term, Regan:

  • Fought for educational freedom and career pathways for students by expanding access to STEAM and technical training programs.

  • Demanded fiscal responsibility and called out billions in reckless spending, including handouts for illegal immigrants and self-serving political pay raises.

  • Defended parental rights, and the dignity, safety, and pride of girls’ sports, and local values in the face of radical attempts to reshape our schools and communities.

  • Championed public safety, working with law enforcement and opposing soft-on-crime policies that put families at risk.

  • Delivered for Central Illinois, securing funding for libraries, parks, and community infrastructure while pushing back on Chicago-centric priorities.

Regan is guided by her family, experience, and commitment to commonsense conservative principles: limited government, personal responsibility, and freedom. She believes every child deserves the chance to succeed, every family deserves to feel safe in their community, and every taxpayer deserves accountability from their government.

For nearly 20 years, Regan and her husband Brian have called Decatur home. They’re raising three amazing children and building a life grounded in service, faith, and love of country.

Regan Deering isn’t just fighting against what's wrong with Illinois. She’s fighting for what’s worth saving.
